Each year, the CALS Charitable Trust awards at least three scholarships separately to CALS freshmen and transfer students -- typically in the amounts of $350, $250, and $150.
These scholarships are open to all CALS freshmen and transfer students who are in their first year at Cornell.
The criteria for these awards are academic performance, Cornell and external activities and service--especially relating to agriculture and the life sciences--and vision as to personal goals. Preference is given to students who plan to be involved in some way with agriculture in the broades sense. (including biological, environmental, and physical and social sciences.
Applicants are asked to fill out a simple two-page form that includes a short essay. These forms can be accessed by the links below. Please use the form specific to your freshman or transfer status.
